The Safety Office at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal is committed to provide a safe and healthy environment at its campus. The Safety Office strives to ensure the wellbeing of all the community members including students, faculty, research staff, and technical personnel through adoption of safe work practices and teamwork. We also work towards continually enhancing the safety performance by conducting hazard assessments, implementing controls, ensuring legal compliance, and providing safety training. The Safety Office endeavours to inculcate the best safety practices on campus and to bring in a culture of safety amongst the community members. Also, we engage in a wide variety of training programs, lectures, compliances for hazardous waste management and Bio Medical Waste Management activities etc. to keep the campus safe and reduce the incidences or hazards.

Objectives of Safety Office

To maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all the community members including students, faculty members, research staff, and technical personnel inside IISER campus.
Reduce work-related fatalities and injuries and occupational diseases.
To avoid any hazard i.e., Fire, Electrical, Physical, Ecological, Biological, Chemical hazard etc.
Management of Hazardous Chemical Waste and Bio Medical Waste for a safe disposal.
To liaison with all the stakeholders to ensure compliances and effective mitigation of Safety incidents.
