This has come to the attention of the Institute administration that someone is sending anonymous emails alleging sexual abuse, data manipulation against one of our high profile / eminent scientist from the Department of Biological Sciences.
The sender of such e-mails (vigilesurbani420@gmail.com) is hiding / concealing its identity and is persistently circulating such frivolous complaints to various eminent and renowned professors/ faculty members inside and outside the Institute along with several offices of Ministries / Departments.
It appears that these e-mails are design to malign the reputation of the given scientist, the department, and the Institute.
In the best interest of imparting justice and maintain academic and research decorum in the Institute, the Institute scrutinized the complaints made by a duly constituted committee so as to ascertain if there exists any substance in the allegation. However, on internal investigation, prima facie, it was found that there is no substance in the allegations made and the complaint is false and baseless.
The Institute is committed to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students and other members of the IISERB community. Our institution has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment or discrimination. We encourage anyone who has experienced or witnessed sexual misconduct to report it to icc@iiserb.ac.in. It is assured that all reports will be treated confidentially and investigated thoroughly.
Our institute takes false accusations very seriously and will take appropriate action against individuals found to be making such accusations. We are actively working with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to investigate the origin of these emails and hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
